Pastor Adebiyi Oladipo Lawal—known as Pastor Ladi—was born on May 5, 1965, in the historic city of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is the first child of late Chief Adesola Olufushoand Chief (Mrs.) Comfort Adenihun Lawal. While his parents pursued opportunities in the United Kingdom, young Ladi was lovingly raised by his grandmother and uncle's family. These formative years, marked by structure and affection, instilled in him the values of discipline, resilience, and family devotion.In 1973, a moment of profound significance occurred—the long-awaited reunion with his parents. It was then that he met his father for the first time, a memory etched forever in his heart and one that symbolised the power of love, patience, and divine timing.Ladi's educational journey began at Ibadan City Council School, Ode Aje. He continued at St. Peter's Primary School and completed his early studies at Methodist Primary School, Bodija. For secondary education, he attended Ibadan Grammar School, later moved to Lagelu Grammar School, and returned to Ibadan Grammar for his A-Levels. His thirst for learning led him to Obafemi Awolowo University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Education. Driven by a commitment to continuous growth, he pursued a course in Financial Management in 1991 and later completed an MBA at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, in 2000.

A defining chapter in Pastor Ladi's life unfolded during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ondo State. It was there that he encountered the saving grace of Jesus Christ and surrendered his life to Him—an act that set the course for a life anchored in faith, purpose, and devotion to God.In 1992, divine providence led him to Folakemi Omotayo (née Akinwale), the woman who would become his life partner and co-labourer in ministry. Their relationship, founded on deep friendship and mutual faith, blossomed into love. On August 6, 1994, they were joined in holy matrimony at the Chapel of Resurrection, University of Ibadan. Their union has since been blessed with four remarkable children: Anuoluwapo, Oluwatamilore, Oluwatomisin, and Oreoluwa—each one a living testament to God's unwavering faithfulness. From his early days in the Anglican Church to serving in The Sword of the Spirit Ministry and Rhema Chapel in Yaba, Lagos, Pastor Ladi's spiritual journey was marked by growth and increasing responsibility. Eventually, he found his spiritual home in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), where his calling blossomed. He pastored RCCG Grace Sanctuary Parish in Ogba, Lagos, from 1999 to 2006, and later led RCCG Faith Palace Parish in Oko-Oba. His steadfast service and faithfulness culminated in his ordination as a Full Pastor in RCCG in 2006.

In 2006, a new horizon opened when Pastor Ladi and his family relocated to the United Kingdom. Sensing a divine assignment, they pioneered the RCCG City of His Grace Parish in Northfleet, Kent. What began as a humble gathering soon flourished into a vibrant church community—one rooted in the Word, driven by purpose, and known for its compassionate outreach.Beyond the church walls, Pastor Ladi has consistently exemplified the value of lifelong learning and professional development. He has completed leadership and executive training at Lagos Business School and holds multiple certifications in project management, business analysis, data privacy, data analytics and data governance. He is also a Chartered Data Management Professional (CDMP) with experience across the banking, media, and public sectors in the UK.His love for the Word led him to earn both a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Theology, further equipping him for sound biblical teaching and spiritual mentoring. A passionate mentor and encourager, Pastor Ladi is dedicated to raising godly leaders, strengthening family life, and promoting unity within the body of Christ.His leadership transcends the pulpit—he serves on the boards of several corporate and charitable organizations, and he contributes to shaping future generations as a school governor at Holy Trinity Primary School in Gravesend.Away from his many responsibilities, Pastor Ladi enjoys the beautiful game of football. A devoted Arsenal FC fan, he follows his team with the same loyalty and enthusiasm that defines every other area of his life.
